Bavarian Nordic AS announced today that it has received a new order valued at USD 156.8 million from the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) of the United States Department of Health and Human Services. The order is for the company's JYNNEOS smallpox vaccine, which is approved for the prevention of smallpox and monkeypox.

The contract also includes approximately USD 17 million for additional services in the period 2025-2027. This order brings the total value of contracts between Bavarian Nordic and the US government to over USD 1 billion since 2003.
